A new website has been created that allows trainee brain surgeons to practise surgery.

A new website has been created that allows trainee brain surgeons to practise surgery.

Neurosurgeon Mr Nick Phillips has created a site that simulates the most complex surgical procedures.

Mr Phillips, who is based at Leeds General Infirmary, says there are already plans to extend the site further.

Postgraduate students can also visit the site to practice other procedures, including spine and liver surgery.

He told the Yorkshire Evening Post: "We aim eventually to include a whole list of surgical procedures which could become part of the student curriculum."

The website has been created using £1 million of EC funding.
