The Orange Order must disassociate itself from violence, county grand master, Mr Alfred Lee told the demonstration in Coleraine, Co Derry.

He said the Parades Commission rulings on marches had driven a wedge between the two communities.

"The commission was established to solve the parade issue and it has failed," he said.

The Rev Martin Smyth, a past master of the Grand Orange Lodge of Ireland, gave a religious address.

The demonstration was the first time Coleraine had hosted an all-county parade since 1939. A total of 120 lodges and 110 bands paraded the three-mile route.
