The Ulster Unionist mayor of Derry, Mr Richard Dallas, was stripped of his civic duties by the city council last night following a vote of no confidence in him for his part in supporting the Orange Order during the Drumcree stand off last month. The SDLP deputy mayor, Mr Mark Bradley, wills take over some of his duties.
