IMPACT¿s national executive will this afternoon discuss a reaction to the proposed job cuts in a number of health boards around the country.
IMPACT, which represents over 20,000 health service workers, says it is determined to oppose all cutbacks ordered under the Government's latest cost-cutting programme.
A formal response to the proposed lay-offs, which include over 160 in the Western Health Board region, will be released this afternoon, a spokesman said.
