KAMPALA - Uganda executed three prisoners held on death row for more than 10 years for murder after their appeals for clemency were rejected, officials said yesterday.

A prisons spokesman, Mr David Ahimbisibwe, identified the three men hanged on Tuesday night as Salim Mulumba, convicted in 1984, and Suleman Ndamagye and Dominic Oboth, both convicted in 1986.
