Two men have been seriously injured in separate shooting incidents in Finglas just after 2 a.m.

Two men have been seriously injured in separate shooting incidents in Finglas just after 2 a.m.

Gardai are investigating whether the incidents are connected because the shootings happened within minutes of each other.

The first shooting saw an 18-year-old shot in the knee at Barry Avenue. He is being treated in the Mater Hospital.

Minutes later, a 22-year-old man was shot in the head and upper body in the Casemount Close area. He is recovering in the James Connolly Memorial Hospital.
