Frankfort - A 14-year old Kentucky student told a teacher that he was sorry after he opened fire on classmates during a school prayer meeting yesterday, killing two girls and wounding six others, some of them critically. The student, whose identity has not yet been disclosed, surrendered to the school principal immediately after the shooting at Heath High School in Paducah, Kentucky, yesterday morning.

Yesterday's shooting follows nationwide attention to a school shooting in Pearl, Mississippi, in October. In that incident a male student shot two girl students dead and injured several others in an attack that was alleged to have satanic cult origins.
