Three Israelis were killed and two others injured early this morning when a booby-trapped bomb exploded next to a convoy near the Netzarim Jewish settlement in the Gaza Strip, military sources said.
The convoy included military vehicles escorting Israeli settlers. An armoured vehicle was destroyed in the blast, a source said.

Elsewhere, Israeli soldiers shot dead two Palestinians, both members of the Palestinian security forces, this morning at the entrance to the Al Amari refugee camp near the West Bank city of Ramallah, a Palestinian security official said.
Maher Sharif Abed Rabbo and Fares Abdel Raham Fares were hit by gunfire from Israeli forces on a nearby roof top, the official said.
The deaths brought the death toll to 1,525 since the intifada or Palestinian uprising erupted 17 months ago, including 1,177 Palestinians and 343 Israelis.
