Gardai in Trim suspect Dublin-based criminals were behind a raid on the Allied Irish Bank, Emmet Street, Trim, yesterday. Two men, one armed with a machete, entered the bank just before 2 p.m. One jumped the counter and grabbed approximately £3,000 cash. They escaped in a car seen heading towards Dublin.

Gardai in Meath are also continuing to question two men and a woman about an armed raid on the Supervalu store in Trim two weeks ago during which a security man received a hand injury.
