Two men are being held by gardaí in Navan after an armed bank robbery in the town today.
At noon two men with their faces covered went into the ACC Bank in the town. One was carrying a handgun. They got cash and left in a stolen car, a Garda spokesman said.
After a pursuit by gardaí the two were caught at a roadblock at Hollystown, Mulhuddart, Co Dublin, and arrested under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.
Cash and an imitation firearm were recovered, the spokesman said.
