A Cork woman was killed instantly last night when the car in which she was travelling with a young child collided with a van on the Cork-Mallow road. The accident occurred at about 5 p.m. near Rathduff. The child is believed to be seriously injured.
A Galway woman (23) was killed and seven other people injured in a two-car collision outside Claregalway, Co Galway last night. The accident occurred at Cregboy on the main Galway to Tuam Road about 8 p.m. The injured were brought to Galway University Hospital; one person was said to be in a critical condition.
