Two injured in aggravated burglary

A man and a woman were injured during an aggravated burglary at a house in Dublin last night.

The incident happened in Redgap just outside Rathcoole shortly after 9.20pm.

Three men broke into the house and held the occupants at gunpoint. The raiders then stole two shotguns and a quantity of cash before making their escape in a dark-coloured car in the direction of Rathcoole Village.

A number of shots were also fired at the family car during the raid.

The two victims were taken to hospital where they were treated for their injuries before being subsequently released.
