Two in Cavan court on immigration offences

Two men appeared at a special sitting of Cavan District Court this morning charged with immigration offences.

Two men appeared at a special sitting of Cavan District Court this morning charged with immigration offences.

The men, who are Brazilian, were remanded in custody to a sitting of Ballyjamesduff District Court on July 15th.

They were among three people questioned yesterday in connection with the death of a teenager whose body was found in the garden of an empty house.

Jamie Farrelly Maughan (14), was found last weekend in the back garden of the house in the Harmony Heights area of Cavan town.

A third person arrested yesterday is still being held but expected to be released later this morning.
