Two men arrested in connection with the shooting dead of a 21-year-old in Dublin have been released.

Gardaí today released the name of the victim. He was Wayne Zambra from Lourdes Road, Maryland, Dublin 8.

The man was shot dead at around 1am yesterday while he sat in a car at Cameron Street, near his home.

The man was known to gardai and detectives are examining a possible link to a drugs gang feud.

A second man was injured in the attack and was taken to St James's Hospital where he was treated for minor injuries.

It is believed the pair had been socialising in a nearby bar before the gunman struck. Two men were arrested hours after the attack and taken to Kevin Street Garda station for questioning.

They were released this morning without charges being proffered.
