Two men have been charged in connection with an assault on a 49-year-old man on Bachelor's Walk in Dublin early this morning.
The two men, aged 32 and 25, have been charged under section six of the Public Order Act.
They have been released on their own bail and are due to appear at Dublin District Court next month.
The victim was left unconscious following the assault and was taken to the Mater Hospital where he remains in a stable condition.
