Nicosia - The government of breakaway Turkish Cyprus collapsed yesterday after its leading faction withdrew from the coalition amid differences with its partner.

Mr Dervis Eroglu, Prime Minister of the self-declared Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, announced after a party leadership meeting that his centre-right National Unity Party had decided to quit the coalition with the centre-left Communal Liberation Party.
