Tullow Oil indicated this morning that its Mputa-1 well in Uganda is being prepared for further testing.
Tullow's joint venture partner, Hardman, said the well will be cased and suspended and not abandoned as formerly expected.
The casing will allow more testing of the well's development potential.
Earlier this week Tullow confirmed that test drilling had uncovered oil traces at Mputa-1.
