A 2-year-old boy was killed this evening when he was struck by a van in Dublin.
The incident happened at 5.30pm on Deansrath Avenue in Clondalkin. The little boy was pronounced dead in an ambulance while being taken to The National Children's Hospital in Tallaght.
The road is closed at present pending a forensic collision investigation.
