A man who broke into a chip shop and stole a tray of cod along with cash from the till has been given a three-year sentence at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court.

Kastriot Boza (37) was also sentenced for a burglary at a home in Irishtown in which he took about €1,000 in cash and a credit card, which he used to withdraw €700.

Boza, Newgrange Road, Cabra, pleaded guilty to the burglary of Enzos takeaway on Bath Avenue on October 30th, 2006, and the Irishtown home on April 4th, 2007.
