A three-year-old boy was fatally injured this afternoon on a farm near Cashel Co Tipperary.

A three-year-old boy was fatally injured this afternoon on a farm near Cashel Co Tipperary.

The child, who was not named, was playing near a tractor on a farm in Glebe, Donohill when a front-loader collapsed on to him.

He was taken to Our Lady's Hospital in Cashel where he was pronounced dead at 1.00 p.m.

A post-mortem will be carried out tomorrow.
