Three people have been arrested by gardai in Dublin after counterfeit travellers' cheques were seized during a search.
Gardai based at Clontarf carried out a search on an apartment in Fairview shortly before 7.30am as part of a planned operation.
"In the course of the search they recovered a large number of what are believed to be counterfeit traveller’s cheques, a substantial amount of equipment which can be used for the production of counterfeit cheques and cash, along with computer equipment and mobile phones," a Garda statement said.
Two men and a woman were arrested at the scene. The men are in their mid-50s and mid 30s respectively and the woman is in her mid-50s.
All are being held at Store Street Garda station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
