Three youths have been arrested after a petrol bomb was thrown at two gardaí on mountainbikes in Bray, Co Wicklow this afternoon.
A Garda spokesman said the two officers were cycling in Fassaroe at around 3.00pm when they were attacked.
Burning petrol splashed onto the leg of one of the gardaí, who managed to extinguish it quickly. Neither officer was injured.
Three youths were later arrested and are being held at Bray Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act
