Three held over attempted robbery

Three men have been arrested following an attempted robbery at a hotel in Co Meath earlier today.

Three men have been arrested following an attempted robbery at a hotel in Co Meath earlier today.

The arrests came after three men, all aged in their 30’s, entered the the Marriott Hotel in Enfield at 5am this morning armed with a screwdriver and threatened staff.

Gardaí from Enfield who were on patrol observed suspicious activity and arrested one male at the scene. The other

men fled the scene on foot and were later arrested at about 8.30am following an extensive search.

All three are currently detained at Navan, Kells and Trim Garda stations under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
