A man (35) was arrested this morning by gardaí investigating the murder of a suspected drug dealer in west Dublin earlier this year.

Richard McCormack (29) was shot a number of times outside his brother's house at St Ronan’s Close in Clondalkin on March 8th.

The man was arrested in Blanchardstown this morning and is being held in Leixlip Garda station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.

Two men, aged 34 and 21, who were arrested on Wednesday in connection with the shooting, were freed today. A Garda spokesman said files will be prepared and forwarded to the Director of Prosecutions.

A 32-year-old woman arrested on the same day was released without charge yesterday.
