The importance of the Y2K bug for the Irish Government and the country's critical utilities is clear from the answers given by the ESB, Telecom Eireann and CMOD, the Dept. of Finance's Centre for Management and Organisational Development to 10 fundamental Y2K questions.

These questions are a modified form of Ed Yourdon's "10 questions to ask companies", and are used with his permission; Yourdon is the coauthor of TimeBomb 2000, and a distinguished systems analyst, programmer and computer guru.
