Telewest Communications, the smaller of Britain's two cable telecoms operators, said today it will reach its target of 500,000 digital television subscribers in the current quarter.
Digital subscribers had reached 377,664 by the end of 2000.
Its total customer base grew 37,557 to 1.69 million, while cable TV subscribers rose 54,386 to 1.25 million.
