A teacher at St Louise's College in west Belfast was charged yesterday with sexually assaulting a teenage girl at his school in the early 1980s.
Mr Patrick Fleming (55) from Finaghy Park North, Belfast, was remanded in his absence after a medical report was handed into court. A second charge of having sex with the same girl while she was under the age of 17 was withdrawn by the prosecution. Defence solicitor Mr Denis Maloney told Belfast Magistrates' Court his client was suffering from depression.
