Swedish voters appear set to reject the euro when a referendum is held next month on whether to adopt the EU's common currency.
A poll out today showed that euro opponents are still in the lead in the Scandinavian country - 53 per cent against adopting the currency and 43 per cent for.
The monthly poll also found that a majority in Denmark, Sweden's neighbour, still favour switching from the kroner to the euro.
Along with Britain, the two countries are the only members of the 15-nation EU that have not adopted the euro.
