LONDON - The decision to call a general election has inspired managers at a zoo to name tarantulas after four of the main political leaders. Visitors have been flocking to Dudley Zoo in the West Midlands to see John, Tony, Paddy and Alex, who were christened after the respective leaders of the Conservative, Labour, Liberal Democrat and Scottish National parties.

The spiders have now been moved into the reptile house, where they are greeted by a steady stream of admirers.
