Korolev - A Franco-Russian space team docked with the international space station yesterday, delivering a new emergency capsule and providing a significant boost to space co-operation between the two countries.

The first of the three cosmonauts, French space biologist Ms Claudie Haignere, clambered aboard the orbiting platform, followed by the Russians Mr Viktor Afanasiev and Mr Konstantin Kozeyev, after a routine docking operation.
