A Northern man who was stabbed in Sligo city today has died hours after he was taken to hospital.
The man, in his 50s, was stabbed during an incident on Holborn Street between 1 p.m. and 1.30 p.m. He was taken to Sligo hospital but died at about 4 p.m.
A man is being questioned over the incident at Sligo garda station, a spokeswoman said.
