One of the country's biggest and most spectacular all-Irish air shows will take to the skies over Bray, Co Wicklow this weekend.
The aerobatics display will involve more than 15 aircraft, including performances from the Air Corps and Army Black Knights parachute team along with an elite array of flying specialists.
The bank holiday weekend marks the close of the town's annual outdoor seafront Summerfest, which has been running since early July.
The free air show is a first for the festival and enthusiasts will be able to buy a special commemorative brochure, with proceeds donated to the Chernobyl Children's Project.
"The Bray Air Display promises 90 minutes of aerobatic thrills to entertain all the family as well as die-hard air enthusiasts," Summerfest spokesman Jason Cooke said.
The Air Corps will be headlining the show, which takes off at 3pm on Sunday, and will involve the Pilatus PC-9M, CASA CN-235-100MP Persuader, AgustaWestland AW139, Eurocopter EC135P2, and Aerospatiale Alouette III aircrafts.
Other highlights will be the Army Black Knights Parachute Display Team, a Sikorsky S-61N demonstration by Coast Guard SAR, plus appearances by elite aerobatics specialists Dave Bruton in his Extra 200, Dave McCoy in a Yak-50, Jimmy Griffin in a Yak-52, and Pat L Ryan in a CASA 1-131E Jungmann. Celtic Helicopters will operate pleasure flights from Presentation College, Putland Road, Bray, in the afternoon.
