Six people, including three children, escaped injury after a petrol bomb was thrown at a house in Antrim town early this morning.

It is believed two people on a motorcycle pulled up outside the house in Alder Park and threw the petrol bomb at the front door at around 2.45am.

Scorch damage was caused to the exterior of the house.

A PSNI spokesperson said officers were investigating a motive for the attack.
