SIPTU is to take strike action at Rowear Ltd in Ballina, Co Mayo. The firm laid off more than 50 employees earlier this year and has refused to pay them a redundancy award from the Labour Court. About 20 of the laid-off staff expected to mount pickets next Tuesday.
