Cape Canaveral - The space shuttle Atlantis blasted off from Kennedy Space Centre late yesterday, on an 11 day mission to bring the Destiny space lab to the International Space Station. Meanwhile, in Kourou, French Guinea, Europe's Ariane rocket put into military communications satellites for Italy and Britain.
