There was little change in the average price of second-hand houses in Dublin for the second quarter in succession, according to figures released yesterday.

Department of the Environment and Local Government figures showed that second-hand prices in Dublin have risen by only two per cent over the past six months, compared with an increase of almost 25 per cent in the preceding six months.

The figures for the March 1999 quarter showed that the average price for a second-hand house in Dublin was £150,533, an increase of 1.2 per cent on December 1998. Nationally, the average price of a second-hand house was £120,406, an increase of 3.4 per cent on December 1998.
