An RTÉ Would You Believedocumentary has been awarded one of the three major prizes at the 17th European Festival of Religious Programmes in Berlin, writes PATSY MCGARRY
The documentary My Fathers Houseinvolved clerical child abuse victim Colm O'Gorman, accompanied by reporter Mick Peelo, going back to Wexford to the house in Ferns diocese where he was abused by Fr Seán Fortune. It also explored the impact that abuse had on Colm O'Gorman's life and on his relationship with his father.
Produced by Alan Robinson, the documentary was one of 23 programmes selected out of entries from all over Europe to be screened at the SIGNIS (World Catholic Association for Communication) and WACC (World Association for Christian Communication) at the Festival.
