Brazilian striker Rivaldo has ruled out the prospect of a big-money move to the Premiership.

It had been reported the former world player of the year was to be the subject of behind the scenes talks between Barcelona and Manchester United ahead of the Catalan giants' UEFA Cup semi-final with Liverpool on Thursday.

It was even suggested David Beckham - who will miss United's Champions League trip to Munich tomorrow through suspension - could be used as bait to land the brilliant playmaker who is widely regarded as one of the top three players in the world.

But Rivaldo has distanced himself from such talk and insists he wishes to stay at the Nou Camp.
