New York - Rap music impresario and Grammy award nominee Sean "Puff Daddy" Combs was indicted yesterday on weapons charges stemming from a shootout at a New York nightclub two weeks ago, prosecutors said.

Combs and his girlfriend, the actress and singer Jennifer Lopez, were arrested after they allegedly fled the scene of the shooting, the Times Square nightspot Club New York, in a sports utility vehicle that police said broke 11 red lights before it was stopped. Lopez was released without charges after 14 hours in police custody.
