THE Minister for Finance, Mr, Quinn, has expressed concern to the Association of Higher Civil Servants about a statement made by the organisation supporting the Minister for Justice following the delisting of Judge Dominic Lynch from the Special Criminal Court.
In a written Dail answer, Mr Quinn said the statement raised issues about the political impartiality of civil servants. He said he had ordered the issue to be placed on the agenda of last week's meeting of the civil service General Council.
Replying to a question from the FF TD, Mr Dermot Ahern, Mr Quinn said the AHCS subsequently apologised to the Government and opposition parties for its intrusion into the political arena.
