Transport links with Northern Ireland are set to be severely disrupted by the public sector protest which takes place in the North tomorrow.

Last night the prospect of disruption for some air travellers emerged when the British prime minister said the strike will damage the economy. Airlines have cancelled some flights in and out of Heathrow airport tomorrow.

There will be no cross-Border Dublin-Belfast rail services as all Translink services will be suspended for the day.

A curtailed Dublin-Belfast Enterprise service will operate between between Dublin and Dundalk only, just four trains in each direction. Trains will leave Dublin for Dundalk at 07.35, 13.20, 16.50 and 19.00. Trains will leave Dundalk for Dublin at 08.02, 11.48, 17.20 and 21.23
