Police in Northern Ireland are investigating a suspicious device in Co Down after receiving a bomb warning last night.

Police in Northern Ireland are investigating a suspicious device in Co Down after receiving a bomb warning last night.

The Burrenreagh Road in Castlewellan has been closed following the telephone threat, with part of the Dublin Road also sealed off.

The roads were closed after a suspicious vehicle was discovered, and diversions have been put in place.

People are being asked to avoid the area, and police have called on the public to report anything suspicious.
