Gardai in Galway city last night began a murder inquiry after preliminary results of a post-mortem examination confirmed that the 49-year-old woman found dead in her home on Monday had been murdered. Ms Mary Kelehan's body was found with head wounds in her home at Cruachan Park, Rahoon, after friends who had called to visit could not gain entry.
