Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) officers are investigating an arson attack on a public house in the centre of Strabane, Co Tyrone, last night.

A PSNI spokeswoman said a number of masked men entered the premises on Railway Street at about 8.30 p.m. last night. After ordering the staff and patrons to leave, the men doused the premises with petrol and set it alight.

The fire caused extensive damage to the ground floor, but there were no reports of injuries.
