Berlin - Police clashed with skinheads armed with bottles, smoke-bombs and tear gas in the northern town of Lueneburg, injuring dozens on both sides and leading to 32 arrests, an official said yesterday.

Police had been seeking to disperse about 500 youths trying to attend a Saturday night concert sponsored by a banned far-right group when fighting erupted. A total of 46 police suffered injuries, a police spokesman said. About 15 concert-goers were hurt.
