About 20 former employees of Brunswick Press in Bluebell, west Dublin, picketed the company’s office yesterday because they have not been paid thousands of euro in statutory entitlements.

The former employees, made redundant in March, were informed that the company did not have the funds to pay any entitlements owed, such as holiday pay and redundancy notice.

It is understood the company owes about €40,000 in entitlements to its former staff members, with some individuals owed up to €2,500.

Delegates from Dublin Printing Group of Unions met with management in March and brokered a concession deal, with the company required to pay 50 per cent of the entitlements to staff upon leaving employment.
