The European Commission said Pernod Ricard and Diageo have submitted undertakings aimed at securing EU clearance to bid for Vivendi Universal unit Seagram Spirits & Wines Group.
The EU's deadline for clearing or opening an in-depth investigation into the case has therefore been delayed to May 8th from April 26th.
