Speaking at their north London home, aspiring film director Threapleton said: "We haven't set a date yet. It will probably be some time next summer." They met on the set of Hideous Kinky in Morocco last year when Jim (24) was an assistant director and Kate (23) the star.

Baseball great Joe DiMaggio (84) is in intensive care in a Florida hospital after surgery, the New York Daily News reported yesterday.

Sir Paul McCartney has disclosed that he did not tell his wife Linda that she was dying from cancer, even though she had only days to live.

The rock legend said: "I knew a week or so before she died. I was the only one who knew.

"One of the doctors said she ought to be told, but I didn't want to tell her because I didn't think she'd want to know."

Sir Paul told the Daily Mail: "Whenever anyone you care about dies, you wish you'd been perfect all the time you were with them. I wasn't. That made me feel very guilty after Linda died."

A Chicago jury has found basketball superstar Michael Jordan not liable in a breach-of-contract suit filed by the producers of a 1991 movie who said he walked out of an agreement to star in their film.

The verdict in Cook County Circuit Court came after a five-week trial and little more than one day of jury deliberations. In addition to clearing Jordan the jury found for him in a counter-suit he had filed against the producers of Heaven Is A Playground, awarding him $50,000 in compensatory damages.
