Pedestrian dies in Carlow crash

Gardaí have issued an appeal for information after a pedestrian was killed in Carlow this morning.

A woman in her 30s died after she was struck by a car at Thompsons Corner in the town centre at about 11am.

Gardaí said the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Traffic diversions are in place while a forensic examination of the crash scene is being carried out.
