The Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform, Mr O'Donoghue, has announced that he would agree to the concept of an independent chairman who would deliberate on the issue of Garda pay.
He said the chairman could arbitrate in discussions between the Department and the Garda Representative Assocation.
